Article summary

There have been several reports of feral pigeons approaching the (slow) watercourses of Liège and bathing their feet in water or even landing on water and staying upon for up to 5 minutes. This behaviour may be the result of the disappearance of the temporary water bodies formerly used for this purpose – though one of the observations cannot thus be explained.
