  Observation of a Calandra Lark Melanocorypha calandra in Condroz, in May 2011: the second occurrence in Wallonia

Article summary

On the 14 May 2011, a Calandra Lark Melanocorypha calandra was sighted at Verlée, in the province of Namur. It was not seen thereafter. This is the second confirmed observation of the species in Wallonia and the third for Belgium (http://www.la-ch.be/). This note reports the circumstances surrounding the discovery. It describes the bird, its identification and behaviour.
