Article summary

This article describes the various protection methods tested, with more or less success, in Brussels and Wezembeek-Oppem. It also draws inspiration from many similar experiments conducted by local groups all over Wallonia, following the advice of the Swallows Working Group of Aves-Natagora. It thus provides a summary of experience gained over almost twenty years. If this article can inspire new protection campaigns in other regions and allow their initiators to avoid some of the pitfalls and stumbling blocks that the author has met, then it will have achieved its objectives.
