In Eastern Belgium, since 2014, 8 adults Red Kite Milvus milvus have been tagged with a GPS-device in order to study the way they use available habitat in their breeding territory and to gather information on their movements all around the year. Two males spent the 2014-2015 winter in Castilla-y-León, Spain, leaving only their belgian breeding ground for less than 4 months in total.
