On June 9th 1996, a singing Wood Warbler copying Coal and Great Tits song parts was identified in the Hertogenwald, eastern Belgium. This was the first case of a Wood Warbler mixed singer imitating non-Phylloscopus species, indicating a flaw in, or even a lack of the visual clue in song learning proposed by HELB et al. (1985) for that genus.
