Article summary

Threat-display by a Black Stork against a human intruder was recorded in southern Belgium in July 2004 during the last days of presence of the juveniles at the nest. It occurred only when the author moved, and not at all when he remained still, progressively decreasing and stopping after a few minutes. Contrary to CRAMP’s description, this display is developed with loud calls lasting at least two seconds each. The scene is illustrated with pictures.
