A roost of Mistle Thrushes Turdus viscivorus in Ombret (Liege) during the winter of 2009-2010
During at least ten days (report began on 26th January 2010) a Mistle Thrush overnight roosting site was reported from the Liege area (Belgium). Surprisingly the site was occupied by ten to fifteen birds in less than one square metre amongst some Ivy growing on a forty year old Birch. So many birds together in such a restricted area appears to be uncommon for this species.
