Article summary

The Great Reed Warbler Acrocephalus arundinaceus, previously a widespread breeding bird in Wallonia, is now only occasional, with no recorded breeding evidence during 2001-2007 atlas field work. This note describes the 2009 breeding case in Amay gravel pit, not only exceptional because of the species rarity but also because it was a double case: a single male was paired with two females, successfully raising two broods.
