The private life of the Little Grebe Tachybaptus ruficollis
The article describes the phenology of the nesting of a couple of Little Grebes in 2016-2017 in the Eastern Ardennes, where the species is hardly present. The author underlines the sensitivity of this species to weather conditions and to fluctuations in water level. The observations suggest that pulli are not always as well nidifiugous as what asserts the literature. The observed dates of nesting and of the size of the brood are in line with previous observations in the literature.
