French article available for download in 2022
Almost 20 years after the first Walloon nesting, this article provides a summary of the reproduction of the Oystercatcher in Wallonia and situates the Walloon population in relation to that of neighbouring regions and countries. The nesting population is currently estimated at ten to fifteen pairs. As in other countries, the Oystercatcher is found both in agricultural areas (cultivated fields) and on roofs in built-up areas.
