Article summary

A succession of observations mate at Oignies-en-Thiérache (Belgium) is explained as follows : a Tawny Owl having left its laying of 4 eggs, settles in a nestbox where a Tengmalm's Owl had laid 3 eggs and begins to brood these eggs and to rear the youngs. Driven away, the Tengmalm's Owl goes and lays eggs in other nestbox.
