Article summary

A four years' survey (observation and ringing) of Owls in an area of about 15 hectares along the French-Belgian border at Saint-Aybert-Hensies is reported. Following species were studied : Barn Owl, Little Owl, Tawny Owl, Long-Eared Owl and Short-Eared Owl. An estimation of their local population is made and precise traits of their biology are given. Afterwards the ringing results (72 Owls) are analysed as far as possible in order to define their local status. These results show that for some species population movements are locally perceptible.
