The Kite (Milvus milvus) has not nested for more than fifty years in the esastern part of Belgium. Since 1970, Kites have been observed more and more frequently during breeding period. In 1973 and afterwards in 1974, a nest was found in Heppenbach; In 1975, two nests were found in the same area but only one brood was reared successfully. It is likely that one or two other pairs nested in the eastern part of Belgium in 1975.
