A survey on the status of the Black Kite (Milvus migrans) in Belgium.
Guerriat, H. & Ittelet, M.
The status of the Black Kite in Belgium is specified in the light of documented observations between 1923 and 1981. April and May supply most of the data, but the species can be watched all through the year. Several attempts to breed were successful, especially during the last ten years, and the winter observations, though irregular, seem to increase in numbers. The post-breeding migration is much less noticed than the pre-breeding one - so the hypothesis is put forward of an asymmetrical migration pattern.
