Penduline Tit (Remiz pendulinus) at the marshes of Harchies.
Since the spring 1984, the Penduline Tiit (Remiz pendulinus) has been seen regularly at the marshes of Harchies (Hainaut, Belgium). The dates of observation are appreciably different from those of the other Belgian localities : the species appears later in autumn and some birds remain through the winter. Moreover, in 1987, two unpaired males built nests, which are the first recorded breeding attempts of this species in Belgium.
