Concerning successive plumages of the Great Spotted Cuckoo (Clamator glandarius).
Van Der Elst, D. & Hubaut, D.
Six photographs illustrate the plumage evolution of the Great Spotted Cuckoo (Clamator glandarius). Numbers 1 and 2 show two juveniles with different under-part colours. Numbers 3, 4 and 5 show birds in their second year. In number 3, the bird has started to moult early and still looks like a juvenile. In 4 and 5 the birds look more like adults, the plumage in number 4 being still fresh whereas that in number 5 shows signs of wear. Number 6 shows an adult.
