A spring record of Richard's Pipit (Anthus richardi) in Belgium.

A Richard's Pipit (Anthus richardi) was seen and photographed on 27th April 1993 at Gaurain-Ramecroix, Hainaut, Belgium. It was a hot day (27°C with warm southeasterlies). A description of the bird is given, the spring occurences in western Europe discussed and the identification problems with Tawny and Blyth's Pipit given.
