Article summary

A survey of the Stonechat in the Namur region of the Sambre bassin has revealed 17 territories, divided into two sections. The most populous section has a stable population of 15 pairs, the other one has only two pairs. The habitats consist of industrial wasteland not yet colonised by birch, or extensive pasture. Field items of diversification (fences, posts, banks, ridges, ...) are often numerous.
