Observation of an abnormally coloured Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus).
In 1988 and 1989, a male Kestrel in unusually pale plumage was observed in Belgian Ardenne near Neufchâteau. The bird lacked brown-red pigment : it was quite white, the tips of the wings and of the tail were black and the back showed some black patches. Bare parts were normally coloured. The Bird was able to breed.
