Article summary

The avifauna belonging to two 100 ha squares samples located in intensive farming areas (Western Condroz, north of Philippeville) was recorded during weekly visits from March to June. The first square was left intact whereas the second, with its plots without natural vegetation, was modified by land reform. Fifty-five species are present in the first square and only thirty-one in the second. The species present in the two squares are more abundant in the first, excepting the "steppe" species like the Lapwing and the Skylark.
